Books I’m currently loving

Reading other people’s words and stories has always been healing for me. It’s how I feel connected and tethered to the earth. Through words. People sharing their experiences with me on the pages of a book. Maybe it’s because there’s always been a part of me that’s felt insecure, a little like I don’t belong. And books make me feel safe. Connected.

At any given time, my nightstand is overflowing with at least half a dozen spines with dogeared pages. All stacked haphazardly on top of one another. Jumping from one book to the next. Some never fully finished. Others read over and over.

I read only non-fiction (I know, it’s a problem. I’m working on it). I can’t say I have a favorite. I love so many for different reasons. And I often get asked, is there a book you recommend for…..?

And the answer is always, Yes! But grab a pen and paper cause it’s a list.

So today I thought I’d share with you the books I’m currently loving, and the books I recommend the most. The ones that over the past 18 months have really helped me along my personal development journey. From books on sobriety to meditation, anxiety, and manifestation. The ones I have highlighted and scribbled all over. Here are the ones I never put away and have made the most impact on me, and I hope do the same for you…

The most impactful books I’ve read…

This is in no way an exhaustive list of what’s out there for you, or what I’ve read, but rather just my curated faves on a variety of topics. If I could only suggest one or two, it would be; “You Can Heal Your Life”, and “Ask and it is Given”. Both books really challenge our current thinking and can definitely push you to see the world differently. They were probably the two works that had the most impact on me.

But with both of those books, and really any book on personal development/growth, you have to be ready and open or the content won’t land on you. I truly believe books hold energy. And you have to be the right energetic match for certain books. So before you rush off to order any of these on Amazon (or better yet, your local bookstore), just take a pause and ask yourself what you’re really looking for? Then when they arrive, light a good candle, grab a hot cup of tea, stay OPEN, and just enjoy….

Oh, and while I have you here…I’d love to know what books have been really impactful and meaningful for YOU. Share with me in the comments below and I’ll update this post to include all of your additions.

And to learn more about me, and my personal journey into finding myself, you can read my latest post about my healing journey here!
